そして、日本語の英語の発音は、奇妙で面白くて可愛いと英語話者の間で話題になって作られた歌なんだって!
And the English pronunciation of Japanese is a song that has become a hot topic among English speakers because it is strange, interesting and cute!
ちなみに、この歌のタイトルは「東京盆踊りTokyo Bon 2020」だけど作られたのは2017年だって!
By the way, the title of this song is “東京盆踊り Tokyo Bon 2020″ but it was written in 2017!

皆はジャンパングリッシュをどれくらい知ってる?
How many Japanglish do you know?
例えば、「アップル」「カレーライス」「レストラン」「アンブレラ」
For example, “Apple”, “Curry Rice”, “Restaurant”, “Umbrella”
どう? 奇妙? 面白い? 可愛い? 楽しい?
What did you think? Strange? Funny? Cute? Fun?
英語を話す人達にとっては、この発音は、本当の英語の発音と違いすぎて逆に難しいよね。
For English speakers, this pronunciation is too different from the real English pronunciation, isn’t it?
でも、ジャパングリッシュは、たくさん使うから、少しずつ楽しく覚えよう!
But I use a lot of Japanglish, so let’s have fun and learn little by little!
ポイントは、2つ!
There are two points!
1つ目のポイントは、カタカナ＝他の国の言語!
The first point is katakana = languages of other countries!
一応英語が多いけど英語だけではない!
There is a lot of English, but not only English!
トラップがたくさんあるよ! クレイジーだね!
There are lots of traps! It’s crazy!
2つ目のポイントは、それぞれ一音ずつをはっきりと発音する!!
The second point is to pronounce each sound clearly!
日本語の基本的な発音46個と濁音と半濁音

これらの発音が一番大事になってくるよ! 基礎の勉強は、大事!

「スマホ」これは「スマートフォン」の略!

「スマートフォン」なのに、なんで「スマホ」???
Why is it a “suma-tohuon” even though it is a “sumaho”???
これは難しい問題なんだよワトソン君…

「スマートフォン」と言う人もいれば「スマートホン」と言う人もいる…

英語圏の人から見れば、「いやいや…英語を日本語で書こうとするからだよ!」って思うよねw

次は4つ目
Next is the 4th one.
「コロッケ」これは日本の料理の名前!
“Korokke” This is the name of a Japanese dish!
元は、フランスの「クロケット」が日本に来て、そこから日本で進化して「コロッケ」になったんだって!
Originally, the French “croquette” came to Japan and evolved in Japan to become a “korokke”!
え?どんな料理か分からない?
Eh? Don’t know what kind of food it is?
えっとねぇ…これは、マッシュポテトとひき肉を混ぜて、表面に小麦粉と卵とパン粉をつけて、揚げた食べ物だよ。
Um … this is a fried food made by mixing mashed potatoes and minced meat. Then putting flour, eggs and bread crumbs on the surface.
英語では「ジャパニーズコロッケ」とか「フライドマッシュポテト」とかって言われているらしいけど、あまり有名じゃないみたい。

出た!和製英語!

「ラップトップ」の日本語バージョン!
Japanese version of “Laptop”!
これも自分が英語を勉強するまで知らなかったことの一つ…
This is another thing I didn’t know until I studied English myself…
日本では、「ラップトップ」を知らない人が多いと思う…
I think many people in Japan don’t know what a “Laptop” is!
もし英語で言うなら…「ノートブックパーソナルコンピューター」かな?
