Haya先生せんせいだよ~
I’m Haya sensei(Teacher)~.

日本にほんの6月がつは、雨あめがたくさん降ふる時期じき
June in Japan is the season when it rains a lot.

そして、湿度しつどが高たかくて、少すこし気分きぶんが落おち込こみやすい時期じき
And the humidity is high and you are feeling a little down.

でも、今日きょうはこのポッドキャストを聴きいて、豆知識まめちしきを覚おぼえて一緒いっしょに楽たのしく天才てんさいになろう!
But listen to this podcast today to learn some trivia and have fun being a genius together!

準備じゅんびは良いい?
Are you ready?

オッケー! じゃあ…レッツ ジャパ日常にちじょう!!!!!!
Ok! Well then… let’s JapaNichijou!!!!!!

まず、この雨あめの時期じきには特別とくべつな言いい方かたがあるんです!
First, there is a special way to say this rainy season!

それは「梅雨(”ばいう” と “つゆ”)」
It is the “Baiu” and “Tsuyu”.

「 え!?一ひとつの単語たんごに二ふたつの読よみ方かたがあるの!?!? 」
“Eh!? One word has two readings!?!?”

はい。一ひとつの単語たんごに2つの読よみ方かたがあります…。
Yes, one word has two readings….

(´;ω;`)

あぁー!! 気分きぶんを落おち込こませないで!! 大丈夫だいじょうぶ!!
Ah! Don’t let that get you down! It’s okay!

なんとかなるよ!! 多分たぶん!!
It’ll be fine! Maybe!!!

ということで、早速さっそくこの単語たんごについて勉強べんきょうしてみよう!!
So let’s study up on this word right away!

まず最初さいしょの漢字かんじは「梅うめ」
The first kanji is “梅(Plum)”

梅うめの木きには、ピンク色いろで小ちいさい花はなが咲さいて、すごい可愛かわいい!
The plum tree has small pink flowers, very pretty!

春はるが来くるのを知しらせてくれる植物しょくぶつと言いわれているよ!
It is said to be the plant that signals the arrival of spring!

そして、その梅うめの木きの実みを使つかって作つくる「梅干うめぼし」は、とても酸すっぱいけど日本にほんの朝食ちょうしょくにはかかせない!
And “umeboshi” made from the fruit of the plum tree is very sour but an essential part of Japanese breakfast!

おにぎりの中なかの具ぐや炊たき立たてのご飯はんの上うえにのせても良いいね!
You can put it inside onigiri or on top of cooked rice!

想像そうぞうしただけでも、口くちの中なかが酸すっぱくなる…
Just the thought of it makes my mouth sour…

この漢字かんじの覚おぼえ方かたは
How to remember this Kanji

「梅うめ」の「木き」には、「毎まい」年とし、実みがなるって覚おぼえよう!
Let’s remember the “木(tree)” of “梅(plum)” bears fruit “毎(every)” year!

もう一ひとつの漢字かんじは「雨あめ」
Another Kanji is “雨(Rain).”

この漢字かんじは、空そらから水みずが降ふってくる様子ようすからできた漢字かんじだよ。
This Kanji was formed from the appearance of water falling from the sky.

雲くも・雷かみなり・雪ゆき・霧きり
Clouds, thunder, snow, fog

こんな感かんじで天気てんきを表あらわす漢字かんじには、「雨あめ」がたくさん使つかわれているから絶対ぜったい覚おぼえようね!
There are many kanji that represent weather like this, and “rain” is used in many of them, so you should definitely learn it!

最初さいしょの漢字かんじの「梅うめ」ともう一ひとつの漢字かんじ「雨あめ」を合体がったいさせると「梅雨つゆ」になるよ!
Combine the first kanji “梅” with another kanji “雨” and you get “梅雨”!

そして、なんで読よみ方かたが二ふたつあるのかと言いうと…
And why are there two ways to read it…

一ひとつ目めは、「ばいう」
The first is “baiu”

これは、中国ちゅうごくから来きた読よみ方かた
This is a reading that came from China

二ふたつ目めは、「つゆ」
The second is “Tsuyu.”

空気くうき中ちゅうの水みずが冷ひえて、草くさや木きについた水滴すいてきのことを「露つゆ」っていうんだけど、そこから来きた読よみ方かた
The word “tsuyu” refers to the droplets of water that form on grass and trees when water in the air cools.

どっちも使つかうけど、「つゆ」の方ほうがたくさん使つかうよ!
We use both, but We use “Tsuyu” a lot more!

ちなみに、みんなの国くにでは、梅雨つゆってあるのかな?
By the way, is there a rainy season in your country?

雨あめが降ふって涼すずしくて嬉うれしい時ときもあるけど、やっぱり次つぎの日ひは晴はれて欲ほしいよね。
Sometimes I’m glad it rains and it’s cool. But I hope it will be fine the next day.

そんな時とき、日本人にほんじんが作つくるのがこれ!
In such cases, this is what the Japanese make!

「てるてる坊主ぼうず」
“teru teru bouzu”

てるてる坊主ぼうず~てる坊主ぼうず~明日あした天気てんきにしておくれ~♪
Teru teru teru bozu~ teru teru bozu~ tomorrow let it be sunny~♪

ティッシュと輪わゴムと紐ひもがあれば簡単かんたんに作つくれるので作つくってみてね!
It’s easy to make if you have a tissue, rubber bands, and string, so try making it!

ということで、てるてる坊主ぼうずの作つくり方かた30秒びょうクッキング!!!
So, 30 second cooking how to make teru teru bozu!

2. Roll up a sheet of tissue.

5. Use string to hang them on windows and doorways!

完成かんせい!!!おめでとう!!!
Completed!!!! Congratulations!!!!

輪わゴムが無ない時ときは、紐ひもで結むすんで可愛かわいくデコレーションしてみてね!
If you don’t have rubber bands, try tying them with string for a cute decoration!

模様もようを描かいて、世界せかいに一ひとつだけのてるてる坊主ぼうずにするのも良いいかも!
You might as well draw a pattern on it and make it the one and only teru teru bozu in the world!

あ、てるてる坊主ぼうずの顔かおは、まだ描かかないで!
Oh, don’t draw the face of the teru teru bozu yet!

頭あたまを下したにして吊つるすのもダメ!
Head down, don’t hang it up!

それらをすると晴はれるんじゃなくて、逆ぎゃくに雨あめが降ふるって言いわれているよ。
They say that when you do those things, it doesn’t clear up, but on the contrary, it rains.

雨あめを降ふらしたい時ときは、良いいかもしれないけど…w
If you want to make it rain, it might be a good idea… lol

てるてる坊主ぼうずに顔かおを描かくのは、次つぎの日ひが晴はれて願ねがいが叶かなった時ときだよ。
You draw a face on teru teru bozu when the next day is sunny and your wish comes true.

「ありがとう」って気持きもちを込こめて顔かおを描えがいてあげよう!
Let’s draw a face with the feeling of “Thank you”!

「てるてる坊主ぼうずさん、願ねがいを叶かなえてくれてありがとう!」
Thank you for making my wish come true, Teru Teru Bohzu!
