Oh, did you see the fireworks?

皆みんなの国くにでは、夏なつに花火はなびをする？
Do you have fireworks during summer in your country?

日本にほんでは、夏なつになると色いろんな場所ばしょで花火はなび大会たいかいが開催かいさいされるんだよ！
In Japan, fireworks displays are held in many places during summer!

ちなみに自分じぶんは家いえの窓まどから遠とおくの方ほうに打うちあがる花火はなびを見みたよ！
By the way, I watched the fireworks shoot off in the distance from my window!

日本にほんに住すんでいると、場所ばしょによっては家いえから花火はなびが見みれるの！
Living in Japan, we can see fireworks from our house in some places!

ということで、今回こんかいのお話はなしは「花火はなび」について！
So, today we are going to talk about fireworks!

夏なつの夜空よぞらに打うちあがる花火はなびは最高さいこうに綺麗きれい。
Fireworks launched into the night summer sky are the most beautiful.

日本にほんの夏なつに欠かかせないイベント。
An essential event for Japanese summer.

花火はなびが打うちあがるたびに、大おおきな音おとの振動しんどうが体からだに伝つたわってくる。
Every time fireworks are launched, you can feel the vibrations in your body.

花火はなびは、船ふねに載のせて川かわで打うち上あげることが多おおいから、川かわの近ちかくで涼すずみながら花火はなびを見みれるのも良いいね！
And since most fireworks are launched from a boat in the river, it’s nice to be near the river to enjoy the cool air and watch the fireworks!

花火はなびが打うちあがった後あとに、こんな掛かけ声ごえを聞きいたことある人ひともいるんじゃない？
I’m sure some of you have heard these words after fireworks were shot up into the sky.

実じつは、これはすごい昔むかしの有名ゆうめいな花火はなび屋やさんの名前なまえ。
This is actually the name of a famous fireworks company from the good old days.

時代じだいは、江戸えど時代じだい。
It’s from the Edo era.

花火はなびを見みに来きた人ひとが、一番いちばん綺麗きれいな花火はなび屋やさんの名前なまえを叫さけんでいたのが始はじまりだそうです。
And it all started when people who came to see the fireworks were shouting the name of the company who’s fireworks were the prettiest!

さぁ！練習れんしゅうしよう！

昔むかしは、花火はなびの音おとと見みた目めだけを楽たのしんでいたんだけど、
I used enjoy the sound and look of the fireworks by themselves.

最近さいきんは、花火はなびと一緒いっしょに音楽おんがくを流ながすイベントが多おおいかも！
But these days, more events accompany it with music!

音楽おんがくのリズムに合あわせて花火はなびを打うち上あげるから「音楽おんがく花火はなび」って言いわれてるよ！
They’re called “musical fireworks” because they set off fireworks to the rhythm of music!

その年としの流行りゅうこうの曲きょくが使つかわれることが多おおいから、その年としにしか見みれない特別とくべつな花火はなび大会たいかい。
The fireworks show is special because top songs of the year are often played, so these songs can only be seen like this during that particular year.

皆みんなの知しっているJ-popが流ながれると良いいね！

青春せいしゅん時代じだいの自分じぶんの心こころに響ひびく歌詞かしがたまらない曲きょくやひらがなの勉強べんきょうが出来できる「あいうえおんがく」もおすすめ！
I also recommend “AiueOngaku,” a song with irresistible lyrics that resonate with my adolescent self, and you can learn hiragana as well!

歌詞かしの意味いみが分わからなくても、音楽おんがくを聴きいて、リズムで日本語にほんごを覚おぼえる。
Even if you don’t understand the meaning of the lyrics, listen to the music and learn Japanese through the rhythm.

これも自分じぶんのおすすめの勉強べんきょう法ほう！

今いまは意味いみが分からない歌詞かしでも、いつか意味いみが分わかるようになった時とき、とっても感動かんどうするよ！

花火はなびといえば、会場かいじょうの近ちかくで屋台やたいをしていることが多おおいんだけど、日本にほんの屋台やたいで何なにを知しってる？

りんご飴あめ？ベビーカステラ？チョコバナナ？綿わた菓子がし？焼やきそば？たこ焼やき？

え！？多おおすぎて決きめられない！？

ダメダメ！早はやく決きめて食たべ物ものを買かっておかないと！

花火はなびを見みる場所ばしょを確保かくほしないと、立たったままで花火はなびを見みることになっちゃうよ！
You’d better find a place to watch the fireworks or you’ll have to watch them standing up!

これが結構けっこう大変たいへんだから…

花火はなびが始はじまる前まえにたくさん買かっておいて、花火はなびを見みるための場所ばしょを早はやめに確保かくほしよう！
Buy a bunch of stuff beforehand so you can get a spot early to watch them!

早はやい人ひとは、花火はなびが始はじまる二に～三さん時間じかん前まえから場所ばしょを取とっている人ひともいるよ。
Some people reserve places 2-3 hours before the show starts.

花火はなびの場所ばしょ取とりは、命がけ！
Getting a spot for the fireworks is a matter of life and death!

場所ばしょ次第しだいで綺麗きれいな花火はなびが見みれるかどうかが決きまるんだから…！！！
It depends on where you are, and whether you can see the beautiful fireworks or not…!

自分じぶんのおすすめを紹介しょうかいするね！
I’ll give you my own recommendation!

まずは、ベビーカステラ！
First, Bite-sized sponge cake!

小ちいさくて可愛かわいいカステラだよ。
It’s a small, cute sponge cake.

アニメのキャラクターの形かたちをしているカステラもあるかも！
There are even some sponge cakes shaped like anime characters!

焼やき立たても美味おいしいけど、冷さめた後あとでも美味おいしいから、全部ぜんぶ食たべ切きれなかったらお持もち帰かえりできるのが、おすすめポイント！
They’re so tasty when freshly baked, but they’re even better after they’ve cooled, so if you can’t finish them all, you can always take them home!

紙袋かみぶくろに小ちいさいカステラがたくさん入はいっているから、皆みんなで割わり勘かんして少すこしずつ食たべてもいいね！
And since there are so many little sponge cakes in the paper bag, we can all split them up and have a little bit of each!

あ、「割わり勘かん」っていうのは、代金だいきんを人数にんずうで分割ぶんかつして、皆みんなで同おなじ金額きんがくのお金かねを払はらうことだよ。
Oh, “Warikan” means dividing the price among a number of people and everyone pays the same amount of money.

次つぎにチョコバナナ！
Next, chocolate bananas!

バナナにチョコレートがコーティングされていて、その上うえからカラフルなチョコ「カラースプレー」が散ちりばめられています。
The banana is coated with chocolate and then sprinkles are added on top.

片手かたてで食たべられるので、買かって食たべ歩あるきしましょう～!
You can eat it with one hand, so buy it and eat away~!

ちなみに「食たべ歩あるき」は、食たべながら歩あるくことです！
By the way, “Tabearuki” means walking while eating!

最後さいごにたこ焼やき！
Finally, takoyaki!

たこ焼やきは、やっぱり有名ゆうめいだよね！
Takoyaki is famous, after all!

有名ゆうめいだからこそ、皆みんなが食たべてみたい食たべ物ものの一ひとつ。
It is one of those foods that everyone wants to try because it is so famous.

でもね…知しらないと後悔こうかいすることがある…
But you know… sometimes you regret not knowing…

それは、たこ焼やきが危険きけんな食たべ物ものだということ…！
That means takoyaki is a dangerous food…!

これは、危険きけんな食たべ物ものだと…！

出来できたてのたこ焼やき…

このたこ焼やきの中身なかみは、マグマである。
The contents of takoyaki are like magma.

そう！あの灼熱しゃくねつのマグマのように…！
Yes! Like that burning magma…!

マグマぁぁぁぁぁ！
Magmaaaa!

熱あついいいいいいいい！
Hooooooooooooooot!

え？そんなの大丈夫だいじょうぶだって？全然ぜんぜん余裕よゆう？
Eh? Is that okay? Are you easily able to handle it?

油断ゆだんしてはいけない…
Don’t let your guard down…

外側そとがわは、サクッと香こおばしく、中身なかみはトロトロ…
The outside is crispy and savory, and the inside is tender…

このトロトロが美味おいしいのだが、このトロトロが危険きけんなのである。
The soft insides are delicious, but also dangerous.

焼やき立たてのたこ焼やきを食たべることに挑戦ちょうせんする者ものは、勇者ゆうしゃである。
Those who challenge themselves to eat freshly baked takoyaki are the brave ones.

死しなないで…
Don’t die…

生いきてね…
Live…

生いき残のこってたこ焼やきの熱あつさに勝かった勇者ゆうしゃ達たち…
Only the brave ones survive the hotness of takoyaki

そのたこ焼やきは、最高さいこうに美味おいしいだろ？
Those takoyaki are the best, right?
