この通りは「日本大通り」と呼ばれています。
This street is called Nihon-odori.
通り沿いには季節ごとに色を変える美しいイチョウの木と数多くの歴史的建造物が立ち並んでいます。
Along the street are beautiful ginkgo trees that change color with the seasons and numerous historical buildings.

12.Oosanbashifutou
大さん橋ふ頭のなかほどにあるビルです。
This building is located in the middle of Osanbashi Pier.
東京の*ビックサイトみたいですね！

建物の内部には海運関係の会社が入っています。
The interior of the building houses shipping-related companies.

旧大さん橋を101年支えてきた螺旋杭です。
This screw pile has supported the old Osanbashi for 101 years.
現在展示されているものは、人力により海底にねじ込まれていました。

14.Tsuzuki Mamoru-kun
街のシンボル的存在の「都筑まもる君」です。
This is Tsuzuki Mamoru-kun, a symbol of the city.
交通事故を防ぐため、怖い顔で叫び続けています。
He keeps shouting with a scary face to prevent traffic accidents.
夜になるとライトアップされ、文字通り24時間体制で見守ってくれています。
He lights up at night and literally keeps an eye on you 24 hours a day.

15.Time Bell Tower
時の鐘は、川越を代表する観光名所です！
Time Bell Tower is one of Kawagoe’s most famous tourist attractions!
高さ16メートルの三層構造で、内部に鐘が設置されています。
It is a three-story tower measuring 16 meters in height with a bell kept inside.
昔は決まった時間に手動で鳴らしていましたが、現在は1日4回、機械で自動的に鳴らされています。
In the old times, the bell was rung manually at specific times, though today it is rung mechanically four times a day.
この鐘の音は、江戸時代の風情を感じさせてくれます。
The sound of the bell transports visitors back to the Edo period.
アニメ「神様はじめました」の聖地でもあり、二期の第6話に登場しています。
It is also featured in the anime Kamisama Kiss, appearing in episode 6 of season 2.

17.King’s Tower
神奈川県庁本庁舎は「キングの塔」の愛称で知られています。
Kanagawa Prefectural Government Main Building is known by its nickname “King’s Tower”.
名前の中にある「キング」は、トランプから来ているんですよ！
The King in the name comes from playing cards!
「クイーンの塔」「ジャックの塔」そして「キングの塔」です。
The Queen’s Tower, the Jack’s Tower, and the King’s Tower.
残りの2つの塔も、横浜ではとても有名な塔です。

18.Ooma zaki
ここは青森県の下北半島の先端、大間崎です。
This is Omazaki (Cape Oma), it is located at the tip of the Shimokita Peninsula in Aomori Prefecture.
そして、この記念碑は、本州最北端を象徴するものです。
And this monument symbolizes the northernmost point of Honshu island.
大間崎から北海道まで、なんとたったの17.5キロメートル！
It is only 17.5 kilometers from Omazaki to Hokkaido!
海の向こうにある北海道が、すごく近くに感じられますね。
It feels very close to Hokkaido, which lies beyond the sea.
天気の良い日には、北海道の函館にある五稜郭タワーも見ることができます。
On a clear day, Goryokaku Tower in Hakodate, Hokkaido, can also be seen.
すぐそばにある観光センターでは「本州最北端到着証明書」をゲットできますよ！

19.Statue of Astro Boy
埼玉県の飯能市には「鉄腕アトム」の像があります。
There is a statue of Astro Boy in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture.
作者「手塚治虫」先生の認めた、唯一のアトム像なんですよ！
It is the only statue of Astro Boy approved by the author Osamu Tezuka!
銅像を作るために「まんがフェスティバル」というイベントが開かれました。
To create the statue, an event called Manga Festival was held.
賛同した漫画家のサイン色紙をオークションにかけ、予算を集めたそうです。
The budget was raised by auctioning off autographs of manga artists who supported the project.
像の隣には、アトムと手塚先生が一緒に写ったプレートが飾られています。
Next to the statue is a plaque showing Astro Boy and Mr. Tezuka together.
周りには広い公園、カフェ、レストラン、そして、アニメ「ヤマノススメ」に登場する有名な天覧山⛰️があるのです！
Surrounding the area is a large park with cafes, restaurants, and the famous Mt. Tenran⛰️, which appears in the anime “Encouragement of Climb”!
週末には、たくさんの子供たちが公園で遊び、その様子をアトムが見守っています。
On weekends, many children play in the park and Astro Boy watches over them.

20.Hikawa Maru
氷川丸は、1930年にシアトル航路用に造られた貨客船です。
Hikawa Maru is a cargo ship built in 1930 for the Seattle route.
豪華なインテリア、高い安全設計、一流のおもてなしが評価され「北太平洋の女王」と呼ばれました。
She was called the “Queen of the North Pacific” for her luxurious interior, high safety design, and first-class hospitality.
喜劇王チャーリー・チャップリンが乗船したこともあるんです。
The king of comedy, Charlie Chaplin, once boarded the ship.
実はチャップリンは天ぷらが大好き！🍤
In fact, Chaplin loved tempura!🍤
「氷川丸では、揚げたての天ぷらが食べられますよ」と勧誘し、乗ってもらったそうです！
Chaplin was invited to board the Hikawa Maru and after the experience he said “On the Hikawa Maru, you can enjoy freshly fried tempura!”
氷川丸は港に浮かぶ博物館船として、一般公開されています。
The Hikawa Maru is a floating museum ship in the harbor, open to the public.
歴史を感じる美しい船内を、ぜひ見学してみてください！🚢
